The US is headed for economic growth, says Jamie Dimon

The United States is expected to experience economic growth over the coming years as it recovers from the Coronavirus pandemic.

Jamie Dimon, the CEO of JPMorgan Chase, believes that the United States is headed for the best economic growth in decades. He made this statement during an interview with CNBC’s Bertha Coombs earlier today. He said;

“We’re going to have the best growth we’ve ever had this year, I think since maybe sometime after the Great Depression. Next year will be pretty good too.”

The JPMorgan CEO said the economic growth would come even as the Federal Reserve raises rates possibly more than investors expect. Fellow investment bank Goldman Sachs predicted four rate hikes in 2022, and Dimon said he expects the Federal Reserve the rate hike to surpass four times this year.

The United States, like other countries around the world, has taken an economic hit from the Coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has lasted more than two years and continues to affect the activities of thousands of companies around the world.

Despite the availability of a vaccine, the emergence of the Omicron variant has affected economic recovery. However, market analysts are still optimistic that the economy will recover and things will go back to the way they used to be.

The United States stock market performed well last year, with tech and healthcare stocks leading the way. 2022 is expected to be better as more companies open up their offices to allow workers to resume normal duty.

Jamie Dimon was one of Bitcoin’s biggest critics in the past. He called Bitcoin useless and a cryptocurrency with no intrinsic value. However, JPMorgan is now indirectly involved in the cryptocurrency space and allows its wealthy clients to gain access to the market.

The bank is expected to become even more involved in the cryptocurrency space over the coming years.
