Mavia announces partnership with esports Tribe Gaming

Mavia, a Binance-backed blockchain-based game developed by Skrice Studios, has announced a major collaboration deal with esports firm Tribe Gaming.

The collaboration puts Mavia and Tribe in a position to expand the play-to-earn (P2E) gaming ecosystem to millions of players across the globe. It also sees Heroes of Mavia join up with one of the most competitive teams in mobile gaming, according to a press release shared on Thursday.

Heroes of Mavia is a fantasy-themed game, with unique NFT gaming offerings that include monetization opportunities.

Mavia betting big on esports gaming

The collaboration comes at a time Tribe has looked to expand its offerings into the blockchain gaming space. And with +100 million views on YouTube monthly, teaming up with Tribe’s powerhouse of gamers and creators is a no-brainer for Mavia.

Some of the biggest partners of Mavia as it targets the esports gaming sector, and its goal of dominating P2E are also some of the largest companies in blockchain and crypto. These include Binance Labs, Crypto.com Capital and Genblock Capital.

At Tribe, we’ve been carefully examining the right P2E project to integrate Tribe IP inside of, and collaborating with Mavia is an exciting opportunity,” said Patrick Carney, the founder and CEO of Tribe Gaming.

Carney added in a statement that his company was bullish on Mavia’s future even as the Heroes of Mavia moved closer to launch.

Commenting on having Tribe as Mavia’s official partner, Skrice Studios’ Executive Producer Yvan Feusi noted that the partnership offers them an opportunity to work with seasoned veterans of the space.”

He added:

“Not only does Tribe have the biggest content creators in the mobile gaming space, but they also have the experience and aptitude to help Mavia develop its potential to become a blockbuster blockchain gaming title.”

Tribe acquires ‘Legendary’ plots

According to today’s announcement, Tribe is now one of the owners of plots in the Mavia fantasy land.

The firm has acquired dozens of ‘Legendary’ plots, with the gaming firm planning on using the lands to advertise the collaboration via branding. Tribe is also set to access exclusive in-game skins as well as customised decorations.

Tribe could use its plots to build bases from where it can do battle with other gamers, or monetise these by renting them to other gamers for a fee. It can also decide to sell them on the Mavia marketplace.

Last week, Mavia introduced “Land NFT Soft-Staking” a new way for land owners to stake their land.

According to an announcement, Skrice Studios unveiled the new feature to allow Land NFT owners to earn rewards on their staked land, and not worry about paying gas. Owners will also not have to up control of their NFT tokens.
